Blogging can seem like a lonely endeavor when you’re just starting out. Heck, even 3 years in! It often feels like you’re putting your important words, thoughts, feelings, and knowledge out into a black hole for no one to see. Building an audience, and ranking highly with search engines takes time. You may begin to wonder if you’ll ever gain traction. I have an underutilized strategy for you that will not only help you gain readers but also 10x your blog’s success. It is to network with other bloggers.

You may be skeptical, but hear me out until the end ok? The best may be the last one I talk about. And if you want to network and collaborate with me join my community with the link below.

Network With Other Bloggers as a Source of Support

Above all else, making friends with other bloggers can provide the support system you need to keep going on the days when you feel like giving up. Who else will understand your frustration when a nearly completed post mysteriously disappears because you forgot to save and refresh your work?

There have been a few times where I was in the optimizing stage of my blog post and the server went down. No one in my house understood why I was so frustrated. A 3000-word blog is not an easy task to repeat!

Your network of blogging buddies understands your pain. They seem to know exactly what to say when you are frustrated. They can also be some of your greatest cheerleaders when you accomplish something significant.

Referrals and Problem Solving

When you are a new blogger everything seems to be hard. Just a few short years ago I didn’t even know the difference between a blog and a website. I cringe when looking back at my first blog posts I have learned so much since then. Speaking of I need to add it to my list to go back and edit and optimize those!

Even long-time bloggers run into technical glitches or other issues they simply don’t know how to fix on their own. That’s where having a trusted network can really come in handy. I’m a member of Facebook groups that help in all different aspects of blogging and my business. There are groups for specific niche bloggers (like Mommy, Beauty, or Health blogs). There are groups for using social media, SEO, and using affiliates.

When you take the time to get to know other bloggers, it’s much easier to reach out with questions or to ask for help. The network of friends will know you and be happy to provide assistance to a bloggy pal in need. Likewise, should you need the professional service of a graphic designer or webmaster; it’s probably a safe bet that someone in your network can provide a competent referral.

2 Groups that I Love to Network In

My two favorite groups to network with other fellow bloggers and business owners are groups that I pay to be in. I am usually in these groups daily asking and answering questions, problem-solving, and getting support.

#1 Website Hosting Support Community

The first is my website host group. I’ve been with them (Attraction Marketing Project) for over 3 years now and have learned so much. Believe it or not, I knew nothing about running an online business until I got a website with them. I spent many days on live zoom support calls learning how to do this or that.

In 2017 I flew out to meet the team at the first ever Ninja Con Mastermind. It was an AMAZING experience! Here is a group picture of us after a hike up a mountain.

The Attraction Marketing team and support group is not just for help with the technical stuff with our websites either. They are a marketing team that has taught me a lot about selling myself, branding, email marketing, social media, and more.

They run challenges, have live trainings, and do support calls. If you get them as your host you are automatically in the group. If you are looking for the BEST website with the added benefit of support and marketing strategy give them a try. Here is a link to get your first month FREE.

#2 Laptop Lifestyle “YOUniversity” Business Club

My other favorite group to network with fellow business owners is Laptop Lifestyle YOUniversity Business Club. It is a group of a variety of business owners in a variety of different niches. It is run by a rockstar business coach named Angela.

What really drew me to her was how down to earth and “in the trenches” she was with our community. Don’t get me wrong she makes the BIG bucks now, but she is so passionate about what she does. It shows in how much she is involved in our community. It started out on Facebook as many groups do. But she recently moved it off.

Each month she provides us with business strategies around a particular topic such as email marketing, how to create info products, or how to run a collaboration. We have weekly support calls and accountability check-ins. The group is such a support network! Everyone really helps each other have breakthroughs.

Currently, access to join the Laptop Lifestyle YOUniversity Business Club is on a $1 FREE Trial. And on Friday she is dropping a brand new course called ENERGETIC Selling that is being sold for $97 by itself, but if you are part of the LLYou it is FREE!  BUT, check out the awesome opportunity with our collaboration at the end of this blog.

Effective Promotion- Network for Free

One thing bloggers may love more than a place to get support is a place to get promotion for free. There are blogger network communities on Facebook to help you grow your reach on social media. Some posts help to boost your rankings on Google as well.

These groups have what is called “threads”. Each of these threads has specific tasks. There are threads for commenting on blogs or social media posts. There are also threads for sharing your blog, Pin, or social media post too. Some threads are to gain more followers or subscribers.

Each thread you share a link to your blog or social media post or profile and others will do that task with what you shared. For example on Mondays in one group I am in there is a thread called Fresh Pin All. This means that you will share a blog post and you have to pin every blog post to a relevant board.

These threads only work if you do the work. Dropping your link and not following through will give you bad karma and get you removed from the group. When everyone does their part by sharing a post or two, all members benefit. Social sharing is a catalyst that can gain you tons of readers if something resonates with a lot of people.

I’m in a number of different blog sharing groups. My two favorite groups are Mom Bloggers on Pinterest Group and Grow Your Blog.

Grow Pinterest to Grow Your Business

Another way you can grow is with a social sharing network called Tailwind Tribes. Tailwind Tribes are like groups for Pinterest shares. Many are niche-specific and some are big and eclectic. So first get a Free Tailwind account. Here is my friend referral link to get a FREE month to try it out. Free Month of Tailwind Plus

Network in Collaborative Projects

Spending time with other bloggers there’s a pretty good chance you’ll make a new blog buddy or two that you really seem to get along with. When you just seem to click, you may find it natural to want to share ideas.

These ideas can sometimes grow into a full-fledged project or business opportunity that might just change your life. There are plenty of stories of bloggers creating business ventures together, becoming co-authors on a book, developing a new blog entirely or working together on a fun blog series. Such projects can be professionally fulfilling, taking you further than you might have ever considered. Plus, things are usually just more fun when done with friends.

Joint Venture Bundle Opportunities

I love to network with other business owners in joint venture bundle collaborations. I’ve participated in both free and paid ones. It doesn’t cost anything to participate so let me explain.

What is a joint venture bundle? It is where many different business owners have come together to each provides a program, course, e-book, etc for a limited time. This “bundle” of products are offered to their email lists and social media followings for either free or a low set price.

When prospects choose to purchase or opt-in to the bundle they have access to all these products. This means they become your prospect. This can lead to 100s or even 1000s new prospects being added to your email list.

Some bundle collaborations are niche specific and some are not. I’ve been a part of one that was just for Health and Fitness coaches. All the material contributed were directly related to Health and fitness. But I’ve also been a part of a Business/blogging collaborative as well which is pretty wide open when it comes to products or programs contributed.

So Many Resources!

When you participate in this type of opportunity you benefit more than just growing your list of prospects. You also benefit from accessing the programs and services provided by the other contributors.

Maybe you are excellent at running Facebook groups, but need help in email marketing. Or you love sharing quotes, but suck at graphics. These bundles are a plethora of resources YOU can use in your own business and even your life. And you get them at a super low price (or even free)! The same holds true to all the contributors. They may actually need what you are providing.

The Laptop Lifestyle YOUniversity Business Club has quarterly joint ventures you can participate in so check out that $1 trial if you are interested in being a part of one.

What will you start with?

There are tons of other reasons why it makes sense to network with fellow bloggers. Hopefully, you now have enough suggestions to begin moving toward taking steps to find your very own blogging tribe. Where will you start? Let me know in the comments below.
